PodCasting:

這幾個星期網絡上又多一個新詞彙：PodCasting。簡單來說，PodCasting就是iPod + RSS。當PodCast軟件閱讀RSS Feed上的Enclosure Tag之後，便會自動從網上下載MP3檔案，並按用戶的喜好整理音樂，最後當然就是在iPod上播放。

聽起來很吸引吧。對，這個構思的確十分有趣。

好，問題來了。MP3 Player面世了這麼久，為何到了iPod時代才有PodCast，又或者為何有這麼創意的人會選用iPod(而不是自稱Creative的MP3 Player)來作MP3 Casting呢？

我相信，即使其他廠商做了一部相同功能(甚至外形)的MP3 Player，PodCast都會屬於iPod，而不是那部相似的Player。其實在iPod上好玩的玩意又豈只PodCast呢？很多iPod迷一早已經把自己的iPod當成PDA、eBook Reader或Mobile Game Console。每一次有人為iPod撰寫新軟件時，都令人十分期待。

這種期待新鮮玩意的感覺令我想起最初玩Palm Pilot時，常有新的Application下載，讓我玩得廢寢忘食。iPod用戶似乎都有這種情況。iPod的新玩意推陳出新(即使未陳都依然會出新)。購買了iPod就像加入了一個喜歡不斷創新的Community一樣，為你的iPod提供無限延伸性，讓你感覺天天新鮮(當然這或多或少是因為Apple容納得下/悉心培育這樣的Community有關)。這不正是外形與品牌以外，iPod吸引用戶，擁有Brand Loyalty的原因嗎？
