Facebook報錯內容Share數
Facebook最近接二連三的傳出錯數問題。這回是Share數 (Share個別網址的數字)。一篇文章的Share數就是顯示它在網絡上流傳多廣泛,但偏偏Facebook這粒數就出了問題。
事緣Marketing Land的Tim Peterson在重新檢視Buzzfeed對於假新聞的Facebook Share數時,發現透過Graph API Explorer所拿到的數,與Facebook Mobile App上提供的數有出入。其中一些文章在Graph API Explorer的Like、Share與Comment的數,比起Mobile App Search Result的Share與Comment的數還少。這樣的情況明顯就是錯誤。
For 20 fake news links and 20 real news links from BuzzFeed’s investigation — the August to Election Day groups — I pulled the total number of engagements from Facebook’s Graph API and the total number of people who shared the link from Facebook’s mobile search results. And that’s when I saw something weird. For three of those 40 links — to NBC News, Breitbart and Liberty News — Facebook said that more people had shared or commented them than had shared or liked or commented on them. And the discrepancies weren’t small. At the time I checked, the NBC News link received 407,708 shares and comments , per the mobile search results, but 237,881 shares and comments and likes, per the Graph API results.
可能你會問,你何時會用到Graph API Explorer去Check數呢?這個情況當然很少,但Share / Like Button都是靠Graph Search來提供數據的 (當中包括了在Facebook站外的Like與Share數,以及在Facebook內的Like與Comment數)。換言之,Share / Like Button的數字與Mobile App上Search功能提供的數字很不相符。
暫時Facebook未知為何這兩個Share數有誤差,所以他們只能說「We are looking into why inputting the URL as a search query in Facebook’s mobile app might have corresponding numbers that can be higher or lower in certain cases. 」
這有待Facebook在查證過後,再交代那個數是準確,還是二者都有問題呢。Like、Comment、Share是Facebook最基本檢視內容散播能力的數字,希望Facebook能盡快提供這問題的更新。
